Effective Design

Marketing is much more than showcasing a product or service. Indeed, it is selling a feeling, a philosophy, a personality.

To do this, we work from the understanding that effective design is more than merely great graphics. Sure, dramatic design alone can be interesting. But, without the underpinning of sound marketing principles, even eye-popping artwork can fail to sell.

Our goal with every project is a balance of aesthetics and commercial success, the balance of execution and solution. We look at the audience and give them something thought-provoking, humorous, elegant, obnoxious, ironic or captivating enough so they feel rewarded just for taking the time to notice — thus creating a bond between the message and the potential consumer. This is the heart of our work at X Studios.

Our Methodology

Exceptional design must always start with the correct concept — you have to thoroughly understand both the audience and the client.

So, before we even begin a project, we first do our homework.

Using creative brief forms we gather all necessary information from our clients. With that information in hand, we can further research and get a feel for the project’s topic, theme, target audience, design history, marketing goals, culture, etc.

Only then, when we have a deep knowledge of the project — essentially, when we realize its personality — do we begin the process of creative thought and conceptualizing. And it is through this process that a remarkable thing occurs: instead of finding the design, the design finds us.

What we end up with is work unique to us and our clientele. What we create is a voice, a point of view, that speaks to its audience and thanks them for listening.
